Patient Experience

At Geelong Family Dental Care, we pride ourselves on delivering a warm, professional and educated service to every patient. Our competent dental team will do their best to ensure your visit to our practice is a comfortable and positive one.

If you’re undergoing a first-time dental assessment, you will be asked to fill out a short questionnaire outlining your dental and medical history so we can provide a personalised service and accommodate any individual needs you may have.

Our proficient team of dentists will carefully inspect your mouth, teeth and gums when performing a comprehensive oral examination. Your dentist will be looking for any signs of tooth decay and cavities, loose or broken teeth, damaged tooth fillings or gum disease. This is why a regular dental visit is a necessary part of preventative dental care coupled with flossing, brushing and a healthy diet.

Sometimes X-ray images will be used to facilitate an oral diagnosis. Patients also have the opportunity to discuss any dental concerns and treatment options to gain a better understanding of dental practices and make informed decisions.

Your Medical and Dental History

As a new patient our caring staff take the time to talk to you and endeavour to provide truly sensational treatment. As a new patient you will be required to fill in a medical and dental health form. All of the information is used to help our dentists gain a complete overview of your medical and dental health in order to properly asses and devise potential treatment plans.

All information provided is held in the strictest confidence.

Payment Options

We accept several payment options including cash, credit card, EFTPOS, cheques. We also offer Health Industry Claims and Payments (HICAPS) and are a preferred provider for Medibank Private, NIB, Bupa, HCF and Australian Unity.
